DRP Construction Company

Randy Pain founded Pain Construction in San Diego California in 1980. In 1989 the company was incorporated as DRP Construction Company a general building, construction company. At that time, work was predominantly residential remodeling and new home construction.

In 1992 Randy Pain was additionally licensed as a general engineering contractor. Work branched out to include public works for local cities, the US Forest Service and the United States Bureau of Land Management the Department of the Navy and the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration.

Over the years, being qualified to contract public works as well as residential construction projects has provided extraordinary contracting experience which most “residential” or “engineering” alone, contractors have not have the opportunity to experience. The resulting knowledge has made DRP Construction singularly qualified to take on unique and difficult construction projects.

Over 30 years in the construction industry has provided many opportunities to creatively solve countless building and engineering challenges.

With over three decades of building in the San Diego area and the Western United States DRP Construction has built a team of skilled and reliable subcontractors. Many of the subs have been working with DRP Construction in excess of 20 years. All subcontractors are skilled and reliable craftsmen who always enhance the building process with their knowledge and experience.

Our goal is to complete the best project possible while working with the owner, architect, and all specialty trades.
